Jonah Pezet will join Parramatta for one year before moving to Brisbane long-term.
Melbourne playmaker Jonah Pezet looks set to join Parramatta next season on a one year deal before finalising a mega-move to Brisbane to become the Broncos' long-term replacement for Adam Reynolds.
This masthead revealed that Pezet enacted a get-out clause in his contract after the Storm's grand final loss, heading to market to explore his options at rival clubs.
North Queensland, Parramatta and Canberra were thought to be leading the race for his services but it appears as though the Broncos have come in with a late bid that has trumped them all.
As part of the deal, this masthead understands that Pezet is in talks over a move to the Eels for one season to play alongside Mitchell Moses ahead of a likely switch to the Broncos for the 2027 season, when Reynolds is expected to have retired.
