Tapine, Taufa win Meninga Medals, Tapine wins for third time, named new Raiders skipper.
Canberra Raiders stars Joe Tapine and Simaima Taufa have capped off fantastic individual seasons, by winning Meninga Medals as Players of the Year at the Raiders Presentation Night at Parliament House.
For Tapine, it's a remarkable third straight Meninga Medal, with the Raiders star taking home the prestigious award in commanding fashion. He polled 33 votes during the season, which was 22 votes ahead of the next-best player.
The night was even more special for Tapine, with departing Captain Elliott Whitehead announcing to those attending that Tapine would be the Raiders' new Captain for season 2025 and beyond.
