Bulldogs supremo Phil Gould was taking no chances when holding secret meetings with Cameron Ciraldo — turning off CCTV cameras temporarily when the Panthers assistant (and Canterbury’s next senior coach) walked into the building.
According to
SMH’s Danny Weidler
, Gould went to incredible lengths to hide the meetings between Ciraldo and Bulldogs powerbrokers, aiming to respect the 37-year-old’s situation at the Penrith club.
Canterbury-Bankstown officials were furious and embarrassed when a photo of Viliame Kikau, flanked by former coach Trent Barrett and Gould, was leaked.
