The Wrap: Pumped up Kiwis primed for Samoa showdown

New Zealand and Samoa will compete in the 2025 Pacific Championships final.

The 2025 Pacific Championships final will feature New Zealand and Samoa after the Kiwis produced a dazzling 40-14 win over Tonga XIII on Sunday to book their spot in the decider.

With fullback Keano Kini and man of the match Dylan Brown running hot and bench forwards Naufahu Whyte, Xavier Willison and Erin Clark combining for 39 runs and 408 metres, the Kiwis packed too many weapons for Tonga, who needed to win the game by 18 points or more to make the final.
