RLPA boss Clint Newton and NRL chief executive Andrew Abdo have been blasted for failing to reach an agreement in their ugly and draw-out CBA war.
Rugby league great Gorden Tallis accused Newton of grandstanding and said the players don't actually know what they're fighting for amid threats of strike action.
The RLPA sensationally called a player boycott on all pre-game, post-game and halftime interviews during NRL matches ahead of Round 19, including Wednesday's State of Origin clash.
