Because a shock win over the Penrith Panthers means Canberra's top eight ambitions still have a pulse in the race to the finals - but they need the bring down another top four contender and hope other results go their way to get there.
The Raiders will go behind enemy lines to face the second-placed Sydney Roosters and eighth-placed St George Illawarra on the road to the finals, but even three consecutive wins might not be enough to get Canberra into the eight.
