The Eels kept their finals hopes alive with a thumping 46-14 win over the Bulldogs in the final round of the NRLW season on Friday night.

Parramatta will now nervously watch Saturday's clash between the Gold Coast and Canberra and hope the Green Machine can spring an upset.

A Raiders victory will ensure the Eels play finals and they'll face either the Cowboys or Knights in a knockout clash next weekend.

Canterbury struck first at CommBank Stadium when their leading tryscorer Elizabeth MacGregor crossed out wide thanks to a pinpoint cut-out pass from No. 6 Ashleigh Quinlan.

Parramatta struck back when a simple overlap put Kiana Takairangi over in the 11th minute before 18-year-old rookie MacGregor bagged a double.
