Forget the thousands of fans lining a street covered by a giant LED canopy, the glamour of the Las Vegas Strip and the $2.9 billion NFL stadium they called home for a night.
Almost all that was waiting to greet the Canberra Raiders inside an almost empty Canberra Airport on Tuesday afternoon was a group of school kids waiting to pick their bags off the carousel.
If you've ever touched down in Las Vegas, you would have walked past the poker machines waiting for you inside the terminal. Not here.
