Over 500 Nebraska students participated in the inaugural Flag and Tag Schools carnival, learning rugby league at the NRL Gala Day.
More than 500 students from elementary, middle and high schools across Nebraska were introduced to rugby league ahead of this weekend's season opening NRL double-header at Allegiant Stadium.
The students, representing 45 teams, took part in the first ever Flag and Tag Schools carnival organised by the NRL in collaboration with the Las Vegas Raiders.
After a series of Flag football games, the teams transitioned to League Tag and played a modified version of rugby league.
