Xavier Savage, a fullback for the Canberra Raiders, found himself in a bit of a pickle trying to find the right moment to propose to his girlfriend, Tahliah Simbolon.
But as fate would have it, an unexpected trip to Las Vegas presented itself, and Savage saw it as a sign from the Rugby League gods that it was time to make his move.
With the neon lights of Sin City as his backdrop, Savage dropped to one knee and asked the question that would change both of their lives forever.
The adrenaline rush of the proposal was enough to take his mind off the nerves, and Simbolon's joyful "yes" was music to his ears.
