Watch: How Kaeo Weekes scored solo try of the year in 21 seconds of brilliance

Kaeo Weekes spectacularly scored a stunning 99-metre try, evading seven players amid a tense match against South Sydney.

The Australian

It was 21 seconds of brilliance, a 99-metre effort which included Canberra fullback Kaeo Weekes beating seven South Sydney players to score what will be hard to beat as the NRL's try of the year.

This is how the magical moment happened.

The Raiders led 24-22 but were struggling as the Rabbitohs mounted a second-half comeback, having scored three tries in 11 minutes since going into the halftime break trailing 24-4.

With Souths on the attack again, Canberra winger Jed Stuart defused a kick and did well to ensure he was not pushed back into his in-goal, instead he was tackled just a metre out from his own line in the 64th minute.

Raiders players were so out of breath when Simi Sasagi got to dummy half, that only one on-side teammate was able to receive the ball. Thankfully for the Raiders, it was their 24-year-old fullback.
