Brisbane's Reece Walsh picked up his phone and rang old Manly prop Matt Lodge last week to have a laugh about his $1800 fine for flipping Canberra fans 'the bird' in the national capital last Sunday.
The Broncos superstar and Lodge were teammates at the New Zealand Warriors back in 2021 when the front-rower did exactly the same thing to Titans fans in a match on the Gold Coast.
However, there was a big difference in the punishments handed down by the NRL to the glamour boy and the not-so-popular middle forward.
Poor Lodge copped a $10,000 fine for the same offence; $5000 of it suspended.
