Raiders captain Whitehead charged with grade three dangerous contact, may face 3-4 match ban if guilty.
Canberra Raiders Captain Elliott Whitehead has been charged by the NRL Match Review committee.
Whitehead has been charged with a grade three dangerous contact charge on Roosters hooker Brandon Smith. If Whitehead takes the early guilty plea he faces a 3 match ban. If he fights the charge and loses he faces a four match ban.
Whitehead has also been charged with a grade one contrary conduct charge and a grade one dangerous contact (tripping) charge. Both of these offences come with fines for early pleas.
