Canberra Raiders fans should plan ahead for a crowded NRL trial against Melbourne Storm, with over 6000 expected and food trucks, festivities, and player meet-and-greets planned.
Canberra Raiders fans have been told to plan ahead for the club's opening NRL trial, and maybe even duck out of work early, with a bumper crowd expected to fill up the stands at Seiffert Oval in less than a fortnight.
The Green Machine will host the Melbourne Storm next Friday afternoon, and though the 4.30pm, mid-week kick-off time could present a logistical headache for supporters, more than 6000 people are predicted to descend on the Raiders' humble spiritual home for the pre-season clash.
The Canberra Times can confirm 3000 tickets - which start at just $10 - have already been sold.
"There'll be a good turnout," Queanbeyan-Palerang Regional Council Mayor Kenrick Winchester said.
