ARL chairman Peter V'landys warns against players faking injuries, considering a potential yellow card penalty.

ARL Commission chairman Peter V'landys has claimed players who lie down for a penalty risk compromising their integrity and sportsmanship.

V'landys also refused to rule out a post-season investigation into the possibility of introducing a soccer-style yellow card penalty for players faking injuries.

"It's not a good look for them personally," V'landys said.

The pitfalls of uninjured players milking penalties has gripped rugby league in recent weeks with an increase feared through the looming high-pressure, high-intensity games, starting with a blockbuster double-header this Friday night involving Penrith, Canberra, Canterbury and Melbourne.
