Reece Walsh avoided suspension after paying $4800 for headbutting, aiding Brisbane's premiership hopes.
It is the $4800 headbutt that could help break Brisbane's 19-year NRL premiership drought.
In-form Broncos fullback Reece Walsh has been cleared to play in Brisbane's preliminary finals blockbuster after escaping suspension for the brain snap that divided the NRL.
On Tuesday morning Walsh formally agreed to pay two fines, totalling $4800, to the NRL for his controversial acts in Canberra on Sunday.
Walsh was sent to the sin bin after headbutting Raiders forward Hudson Young in a spiteful and thrilling qualifying final at GIO Stadium, which the Broncos eventually won 29-28 in the 94th minute of extra-time.
