A former back-rower for the Canberra Raiders and Newcastle Knights is set to join a feeder club of the Perth Bears in anticipation of the 2026 season, aiming to secure a position on the roster of the NRL's expansion team in the future.

Clay Webb, who most recently played in the UK with the Featherstone Rovers and York City Knights (on loan), is the latest addition to the Brisbane Tigers competing in the QLD Cup reserve-grade competition.

At just 23 years old, Webb has been recognized as a solid edge player, earning a spot in the 2023 NSW Cup Team of the Year. Despite his accomplishments, he has yet to fully tap into his potential as a rugby league athlete.
