On Saturday, in celebration of Women in League Round, GIO Stadium will host the CRRL Under 17 Girls teams as they take center stage before an NRL match.
The Junior Bushrangers and Woden Valley Rams Under 17s will play a curtain-raiser at 12:45 PM, preceding the highly anticipated game between the Canberra Raiders and Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs at 3:00 PM.
With a sell-out crowd expected, this event serves as a significant opportunity to showcase the rising talent within Canberra's female rugby league community.
Notably, female registrations in the CRRL have seen a 13% increase this year, rising from 1,726 in 2024 to 1,945 in 2025, reflecting a strong upward trend in grassroots participation among women.
