When Ash Quinlan was deciding whether to join the Canberra Raiders for their inaugural year in 2023 there was one deciding factor.
The involvement of her daughter Nevaeh.
"It was important to me because, not many people know this," she reveals in the documentary Raiders Rising, "but I didn't know I was pregnant with Nevaeh until the day that I had her.
"My mum actually helped me pretty much birth her at our home in Sydney ... Nevaeh's full name actually means welcome our little angel from heaven."
