Playing in a Queensland jersey has been a "massive dream" for the Maroons' Corey Horsburgh since he was a little boy, and as that becomes a reality, he has met thousands of young fans with a similar dream.
In pouring rain, Horsburgh and the Queensland State of Origin team greeted more than 4,000 fans on Tuesday at Barlow Park oval in Cairns ahead of game three next Wednesday in Sydney.
"I can't wait for the week ahead," Horsburgh said, adding he felt grateful for the opportunity.
"It's been a massive dream of mine since I was a little boy."
