Australia's women's cricket team are feeling the heat, but they won't be tempted to change their gameplan this Thursday night in Canberra, and have promised fans at Manuka Oval all the big hits and thrilling dismissals that Twenty20 is supposed to offer.
The Aussies were still reeling after a rain-impacted loss to India in Sydney in the first of three Twenty20 matches, and were facing plenty of criticism when the home side was rattled for only 133 in 18 overs.
Georgia Wareham's 30 runs off 19 was the standout for Australia at the crease, but even though the team now trail in a bilateral series at home for the first time in 10 years, the middle-order batter has vowed to continue their aggressive approach in the capital.
"Not the start we would have liked the other night, but I don't think our plan changes too much," Wareham said after arriving in Canberra on Tuesday.
