Jayden Brailey signs with Canberra Raiders, sparking competition for No.9 jersey with Owen Pattie.

The Canberra Times

Jayden Brailey is Canberra-bound after the ink dried on the Newcastle hooker's two-year deal to join the Raiders.

Brailey will see out the remainder of the season in Newcastle before joining the Raiders until the end of 2027 to spark a battle for Canberra's No.9 jersey with an incumbent and a rising star.

Owen Pattie - the 21-year-old who has drawn comparisons to Queensland hooker Harry Grant - has been upgraded and extended on a new contract that will see him stay in Canberra until at least the end of 2028.
