Canberra Raiders Team Lists

The Canberra Raiders have named their team for the round 22 match against the St George-Illawarra Dragons at GIO Stadium Canberra on Sunday afternoon.

Joe Tapine has been ruled out for the match after succumbing to a rib injury. Tapine will be replaced in the starting side by Emre Guler, with Corey Horsburgh returning to the bench after a successful return from illness last weekend through the Raiders NSW Cup match.

Xavier Savage returns to the team at fullback this weekend after recovering from an ankle injury, with Jordan Rapana shifting back to the wing.

Nick Cotric has taken the early guilty plea for his grade two careless high tackle charge, which means Albert Hopoate will retain his place in the team on the wing this weekend.

Ryan Sutton has been named in the team and will continue to undergo concussion protocols this week after failing his HIA against Penrith.

The Canberra Raiders have named their final 17 ahead of this afternoon's clash against the Penrith Panthers at GIO Stadium Canberra. 

There are no changes to the team, with Ata Mariota named as 18th man.

The Raiders have reduced their squad to 19 ahead of tomorrow afternoon's clash against the Penrith Panthers at GIO Stadium. 

Xavier Savage will not play against the Panthers, with Albert Hopoate replacing him in the starting line-up.

Raiders Coach Ricky Stuart said Savage's ankle injury had forced him out of this game, but he was confident he'd be ready for the Raiders round 22 match against the Dragons. 

"We couldn't quite get Xavier's ankle right for this weekend as he's been carrying it for a couple of weeks and he needed to have a week off," Stuart said. "It's a very important part of the season for us and we need him back on the field at 100% fitness."

"He's been doing a wonderful job for us over the past couple of months and we need him to get his ankle right and get him back in next week when he's fully fit." 

Semi Valemei will move into the 18th man position with Ata Mariota named in the 19.
