Smiles reflect joy at Christchurch's new stadium, highlighting a community bond after a decade of recovery from a devastating earthquake.
The first things you notice are the smiles.
"This is the sort of thing that could bring Canberra together," says long-time Brumbies fan Jim Taylor as he breaks away from the crowd for a chat.
Every smile tells a different story. Some take a moment to reflect on the 15 years it has taken for this venue to rise from the rubble of a devastating 2011 earthquake.
Others, like Jim, have just stepped out of one of the bars, cafes or restaurants in Christchurch's centre for the short walk to the city's new $560 million stadium.
