Troy Whiley, revitalized by a season away, returns as president of the Queanbeyan Kangaroos, nearing his 300th Canberra Raiders Cup game at 40.

Troy Whiley was "pretty much done and dusted".

His body was struggling and mentally he'd had a tough year as well.

But a season out in Young - the first time he'd played anywhere but his beloved Queanbeyan Kangaroos - not only reinvigorated him, but helped him fall back in love with footy again.
