A last second penalty goal by Titans rookie Lailani Montgomery enabled the Indigenous All Stats to overcome the loss of star playmaker Kirra Dibb and snatch a 20-18 victory over the Māori All Stars.
Dibb was forced from the field in the 23rd minute with a leg injury and was unable to return, thrusting Montgomery from the bench to the halfback role and she laid on the only try of the second half and kicked three goals to inspire an Indigenous comeback.
