Brisbane coach Maguire suggests Adam Reynolds' NRL career may end due to a persistent calf injury affecting his final game.
Brisbane coach Michael Maguire concedes Adam Reynolds' glittering NRL career could be over.
A D-Day fitness test on Monday at Red Hill on his niggling calf injury will determine if retiring champion Reynolds gets an emotional Suncorp farewell in Thursday night's clash against the Storm.
Reynolds did a preliminary solo session on Friday at Red Hill, while the Broncos were in Canberra, and will run again on Monday in a last-ditch bid to get the green light for his Suncorp swansong.
The champion halfback hasn't played since Brisbane's loss to Newcastle on August 1, when he suffered concussion, only to then break down at training with a calf complaint.
The injury has hampered him ever since and after a fresh aggravation at an opposed session last week, Reynolds himself concedes he may have played his last game for the Broncos.
