    Belconnen Sharks defeat West Belconnen Warriors in Canberra Raiders Cup with dominant second-half performance.

    Round Nine of the Blumers Lawyers Canberra Raiders Cup saw teams leave nothing in the tank, as we head into a competition break this weekend. 

    Belconnen United Sharks 34 defeat West Belconnen Warriors 12

    Belconnen United secured a big win over their local rivals, West Belconnen, with a clinical second half performance in front of a home crowd at NSWRL HQ. 

    With the scores reading 12-6 Sharks way into the second half, the home side went onto score four in a row, including a double from centre Tevita Aroha-Tuinauvai, to blow out the margin and put the game to bed.

    Rivalries to ignite in Binalong

    Binalong and Harden face off in long-standing rivalry, with Brahmans seeking redemption.

    Only 30 kilometres separate Binalong and Harden, meaning the Hawks and Brahmans call on plenty of history.

    After a brief hiatus, the Brahmans triumphantly returned to the Blumers Lawyers George Tooke Shield competition in 2024 and will reignite their rivalry with the Hawks on Saturday.

    Playing in Round Seven of the men's tackle and league tag competitions, it's set to be two heavyweight bouts as the Hawks and Hawkettes battle the Brahmans in their arena.

    Binalong had won five on the trot before their Round Six 38-20 loss to Cootamundra, and the Chris Rawlinson-led Brahmans will be out to rediscover their winning ways.
