    Clydsdale's 'full circle moment' as Jillaroos honour foundations

    Cath Welch reflects on the Jillaroos' 30-year journey since their first international match in 1993.

    Cath Welch can only marvel at how far things have come since she first pulled on a Jillaroos jersey, leading out her team for an international match in Fiji in 1993.

    This year, the Jillaroos are celebrating their 30-year anniversary, with the first fully recognised Test match taking place against New Zealand on July 1, 1995, at Lidcombe Oval.

    Almost every Canberra Raiders Cup club will have new coaches in 2026 - but one of the last men standing grins, "they can't get rid of us yet".

    Darby Medlyn will remain at the helm of the Tuggeranong Bushrangers alongside Brenden Bradley, while Zac Patch will stay at the Belconnen United Sharks. As for the rest?

    Seven out of nine Canberra Raiders Cup clubs have locked in new coaches - including premiership-winning stars and former NRL players - for the 2026 season.
