Manly and Queensland leader Daly Cherry-Evans has avoided a potentially stain-inducing milestone in his extensive 313-game tenure, with news.com.au revealing that the skipper will take the field against the Raiders on Friday night unhampered by suspension.

The seasoned halfback found himself in hot water after a tackle on Parramatta's Shaun Lane resulted in a grade two dangerous throw charge, prompting his teammate to cop a ban for two games after taking the early guilty plea.

This was only the second charge in Cherry-Evans' career, with the first ironically also involving a dangerous throw against the Eels six years ago.
