The manager of Moses Leota has named the four clubs that are in the lead to secure the signature of the star Penrith Panthers front-rower as he faces an uncertain future.

Granted permission by the Panthers to test the open market and explore his options last month, Leota ultimately opted against signing elsewhere - for now - but will be back on the market on November 1 as he remains unsigned for 2028.

While Penrith have put contract talks on hold as they work through managing their salary cap, it has been revealed that the Canberra Raiders, Gold Coast Titans, Parramatta Eels and Sydney Roosters are leading the chase for his signature.

"It's a tough situation for Penrith because they have so many players in demand and Moses understands that," Leota's manager Gavin Orr told Wide World of Sports.

"We reported to them the interest from at least six clubs with the Raiders, Eels, Titans and Roosters leading the way, but we have to wait until they see what Cleary and Yeo are doing and how much money they have in the cap.
