Corey Horsburgh joins the Perth Bears; Hudson Young's management seeks negotiation with Papua New Guinea Chiefs despite Raiders' contract.
It's officially goodbye for "Big Red".
The Perth Bears confirmed on Sunday that Corey Horsburgh is headed west on a three-year deal, with the forward revealing the reasons he decided to join the newest NRL franchise.
It comes as Hudson Young's management is set to put in a request for the Raiders to grant a brief window for the NSW Blues back-rower to negotiate with the Papua New Guinea Chiefs before November 1.
The Raiders want to keep Young, who is under contract until 2027 in Canberra and viewed as a future captain. The club tabled a record-setting $3.3 million, three-year deal to show their intent.
