It’s not an easy job guiding a club through it’s inaugural NRL season. That’s why the only man for the Dolphins was always Wayne Bennett.
The 73-year-old did exactly that at the Broncos back in 1988 and turned the club into an absolute powerhouse, winning six premierships while he was at the helm.
He won his seventh premiership with the Dragons in 2010 and has made 10 grand finals over his 30-plus-year career as a first grade coach.
