Souths’ hooker Damien Cook revealed he wanted a three-year deal and is preparing to play on beyond his current contract as he chases a fairytale premiership to cap off his NRL career.
The 31-year-old recently signed a two-year contract extension at Souths that will take him to the end of the 2025 season.
But after only becoming a regular NRL player after switching positions to hooker in his first season at Souths in 2016, Cook is confident his body can play beyond his 34th birthday.
