Corey Horsburgh has the weekend off and he's close to finalising his future.
After Horsburgh met with Perth Bears coach Mal Meninga on Monday, he's waiting to be sent a three-year deal that would see him join Raiders teammate Morgan Smithies at the NRL expansion club next season.
While the Canberra Raiders have given Horsburgh permission to speak to other clubs, they still have to release him for 2027 - but that's considered a formality given his public falling-out with coach Ricky Stuart.
Horsburgh's been training this week, but he won't play NSW Cup after he was dropped from the NRL side to face Cronulla at Shark Park on Saturday.
His manager Jeff Jurotte said Horsburgh was in a "good headspace" and he praised how Raiders chief executive Don Furner has handled the situation.
