It's why Mal Meninga Medallist Leianne Tufuga felt blessed to have been voted the best-and-fairest player by her peers this season in what turned out to be a nail-biting vote count.
Her journey took her through two other clubs before she arrived in the capital last year, having spent two seasons with the Sydney Roosters and Wests Tigers.
