Stuck on the side of a highway waiting for a replacement bus was hardly the ideal preliminary final preparation for the Raiders NRLW side but Canberra girls don't cry.
In fact, they were still telling jokes about it when they finally made it home to the national capital late on Saturday night... from Friday night's elimination final win over Wests Tigers at Campbelltown.
The NRLW team had stayed behind to watch their feeder club Mounties play the Rabbitohs in the NSW Women's Premiership preliminary final on Saturday at Kogarah. Mounties won 20-18 to advance to this weekend's grand final against the Knights.
"We were all together as a squad because the schedules of both teams don't usually align," Raiders centre Bobbi Law told NRL.com.
