Watching isn't Hudson Young's forte. Especially when he knows it's of his own doing.

The Canberra Raiders star was disappointed he let his teammates down with a two-game suspension and he's hungry to get out there for the blockbuster against the Penrith Panthers on Sunday.

It's shaping as the biggest game of the year at Canberra Stadium with a crowd of more than 20,000 expected for the Green Machine's clash against the NRL ladder leaders.

On top of that, Young's one of two Raiders stars returning to the side - along with Ethan Strange (ankle), touch wood - in a rematch of the "Miracle of Mudgee".
