    Aiming to enhance their performance next season, the Melbourne Storm have extended the contract of an off-contract forward, with another extension expected soon.

    Two-time Samoan international Lazarus Vaalepu, who was not among the five departing players announced by the club earlier this week, has signed a new deal that will keep him in Storm colours for an additional couple of seasons.

    After debuting in Round 20 last season, Vaalepu participated in 12 first-grade matches after joining the club from the Canberra Raiders on a train and trial contract.

    Not one of the five departing players confirmed by the club earlier in the week, two-time Samoan international Lazarus Vaalepu, has agreed to a new deal which will see him remain in Storm colours for a couple more seasons.

    London Broncos Sign NRL Forward for 2026

    The London Broncos are making significant strides toward their anticipated return to the English Super League, recently acquiring Siliva Havili as their second NRL signing this week.

    Following the announcement of Gold Coast Titans prop Reagan Campbell-Gillard joining the team, the Broncos, who are now under the ownership of Brisbane Broncos legend Darren Lockyer, confirmed Havili's addition to the squad starting in 2026.

    Details regarding the duration of Havili's contract have not been disclosed, but the 32-year-old brings a wealth of experience with 173 NRL games under his belt. His most recent stint includes 69 games with the South Sydney Rabbitohs since 2022. Before that, he played 80 matches for the Canberra Raiders from 2018 to 2021 and had shorter spells with the St George Illawarra Dragons and New Zealand Warriors during the earlier years of his ten-year career.
