Nathan Cleary shared that his uncle Jason Death is recovering from a skull fracture and brain bleed after a recent fall.
NSW star Nathan Cleary has revealed his uncle and former Warriors cult hero Jason Death faces a long road to recovery after a fall at his Warriewood home two weeks ago left him with a skull fracture and brain bleed.
Death, who played 201 NRL games with the Warriors, Canberra, Souths and North Queensland, is out of intensive care but remains in hospital.
Despite a number of setbacks in recovery, Cleary said Death's condition is slowly improving.
"He's improving, thankfully," Cleary said.
"With those types of things, it can be pretty scary and setbacks happen so quickly.
