NRL fans are once again calling for the clock to be stopped after a try with Sandon Smith taking his time in the final minutes of the Knights' win over the Raiders. The Newcastle Knights won a brutal 30-24 contest against the Raiders to cement their place in the Top 8 with four rounds to go.
The defeat also ended the Raiders' hopes of playing finals footy with last year's minor premiers now entrenched outside the Top 8. However, plenty of Raiders fans were left frustrated when Smith took his time to attempt a conversion with just a minute remaining.

Winger Dominic Young scored in the corner to extend the Knights' lead by six points. Smith lined-up the conversion, but went back-and-forth to the kicking tee as he took his time.
