In a shattering blow for both the 24-year-old and the Raiders, Hopoi suffered the injury while playing NSW Cup last weekend.
A Bulldogs local junior, Hopoi decided last month to sign a multi-year deal with the Raiders last month for the 2027 and 2028 seasons.
Hopoi will undergo immediate ACL repair surgery before commencing his rehabilitation with the Raiders from November 1.
Hopoi has played 17 NRL games for the Dogs since his debut in 2024.
