Canberra back rower Hudson Young and St Helens-bound halfback Sean O'Sullivan are set to tour the PNG Chiefs' facilities in Port Moresby.

Raiders chief executive Don Furner confirmed he's given Young the green light to travel to PNG before he becomes a free agent on November 1 after the pair caught up on Everest day at Randwick on Saturday.

"We had a chat. We want him to go to PNG and get back as quickly as possible. Yes, it's true, we have given him permission to go there," Furner said.

"We want Hudson to be clear in his mind with the decision he will make."

A NSW State of Origin star in this year's series win, Young has been holidaying while recovering from a ruptured Achilles.
