NRLW round Broncos star Julia Robinson cleared of major injury ahead of NRLW grand final rematch

Brisbane's Julia Robinson is cleared of serious injury, boosting hopes for her return against Sydney Roosters in the grand final rematch.

The Australian

Brisbane's NRLW title chase has been given a huge boost after scans cleared star Julia Robinson of any serious injury concerns ahead of Saturday's grand final rematch with Sydney Roosters.

The Jillaroos and Queensland Origin star was taken from the field with a suspected MCL injury in Sunday's shock loss to Canberra with fears she could miss the rest of the season, and potentially the Rugby League World Cup at the end of the year.

However, the Broncos have confirmed she will be monitored across this week with hopes of making a return to the field, potentially to face the Roosters on Saturday afternoon.

Her inclusion would be a surprise given her obvious discomfort while being helped from the field against the Raiders, but would be a massive advantage for the Broncos after their first loss of the season.

Already they will be without veteran half Ali Brigginshaw (suspended) as well as Queensland dummy half Jada Ferguson (consussion) for the most anticipated NRLW game of the season.
