Eels skipper Clint Gutherson has hit back at claims from NRL Head of Football Graham Annesley that he stripped the ball in a controversial no try ruling that went against the Dragons.
In his weekly briefing Annesley stated that a try should have been awarded to the Dragons after Gutherson stripped the ball in the act of making a try-saving tackle.
You see the fingers curl up on top of the ball and there is a raking motion that dislodges the ball, Annesley explained.
