Knights coach acknowledges players struggling, team labeled awful after loss, plagued by errors and missed tackles.
Newcastle Knights coach Adam O'Brien has admitted some of his players are suffering from a case of the "yips", with Paul Gallen describing the side as awful following a 20-6 loss to the Tigers.
In front of their home fans, the Knights barely fired a shot and were frustrated by multiple errors.
While the score difference was significant, the negative stats weren't too contrasting, with the Knights finishing on 15 errors to the Tigers' 14. Newcastle also missed 31 tackles to their rivals' 30, but Benji Marshall's side was able to make the most of their opponent's poor actions.
