Raiders fall to Panthers at home

The Penrith Panthers defeated the Canberra Raiders 30-18 at GIO Stadium in a Sunday match.

In a Sunday afternoon showdown, the Toyota Forklifts Canberra Raiders have been defeated by the Penrith Panthers at GIO Stadium 30-18.

After a strong opening five minutes from both sides, Penrith five-eighth Blaize Talagi took the first points of the match off the back of a try assist from halfback Nathan Cleary.

The try was converted successfully, making the score 6-nil.

The Green Machine responded not long after, thanks to Ethan Sanders fighting off multiple Penrith defenders to twist around and score right on the tryline.

The halfback successfully converted his own try, making the score 6-all.

After some back-and-forth sets, Panther Blaize Talagi goes over for a double off the back of a linebreak from second-rower Isaiah Papali'i.
