Raiders fall to Tigers

Canberra Raiders lose 48-24 to West Tigers, early lead for Tigers, Swift Raiders response.

The Canberra Raiders suffered a 48-24 defeat to the West Tigers on Sunday afternoon at Campbelltown Sports Stadium.  

It was a back and forth contest in the opening five minutes, with the Tigers breaking away to claim the first points of the match. 

Tigers centre Brent Naden intercepted a ball in the Raiders' attacking half but was successfully chased down by Raiders winger Xavier Savage. 

Shortly after, Tigers five-eighth Lachlan Galvin successfully planted the ball over the line to give his side a 6-0 lead.

The Tigers were quick to follow up, with winger Luke Laulilii bursting over on debut, claiming a 12-0 advantage.
