The Raiders offered Ethan Sanders a two-year extension as he prepares to face Nathan Cleary. Jayden Brailey may move to the Tigers.

The Canberra Times

The Canberra Raiders have made a contract offer to lock in the apprentice as he prepares to take on the master.

On a busy day of contract news in the capital, the Raiders have offered boom halfback Ethan Sanders a two-year extension to keep him in lime green until the end of 2029 with discussions continuing.

It's a massive boost for the Raiders as they prepare for the Miracle of Mudgee rematch - against the Penrith Panthers on Saturday - where Sanders will go up against the best halfback in the NRL, Nathan Cleary.

Sanders has been in excellent form the past month and the Cleary clash will be an excellent gauge of his progress this season.
