    On Sunday afternoon, Raiders skipper Joe Tapine is set to line up against his friend and fellow Canberra forward, Josh Papali'i, when New Zealand host Samoa in a highly-anticipated Pacific Championships showdown in Auckland.

    It'll be the first time the pair have faced off in an international match, and fireworks are expected.

    Although Vaega did not participate in any first-grade matches this year, the 25-year-old has made a total of 12 appearances in the NRL for the Sea Eagles since his debut against the Canberra Raiders in Round 24 of 2022.
